Tenba's Expanded Axis V2 Bag Series Includes Stylish Slings and Backpacks

Jul 03, 2023

Tenba has expanded its best-selling collection of Axis V2 bags with new sizes and styles, including new sling bags and backpacks.

Tenba has announced a pair of new Axis V2 sling bags. The bags differ in size and carrying capacity but otherwise sport identical designs and features.

The lightweight, low-profile bags use soft, body-contouring foam to promise all-day carrying comfort. The sling bags include dual straps, allowing them to be quickly converted into a waist pack.

Small accessories can be stored in zippered pockets, while the main compartment holds cameras and lenses.

The Tenba 4L Sling Bag can hold a camera with one or two additional lenses and up to a 24-70mm f/2.8-style zoom attached to the camera body. The larger Tenba 6L Sling Bag holds two or three lenses and up to an attached 70-200mm f/2.8 telephoto zoom lens.

Photographers can carry a tripod with attachment straps on the bottom of the bag. Both sling bags and Tenba’s new backpacks detailed below include a hidden neoprene sleeve to store an Apple AirTag or Tile Tracker.

The Tenba Axis V2 Sling Bags are available in black and camo colorways. The 4L version costs $90, while the 6L model is $100. The camouflage versions include a $5 premium.

Tenba has discontinued some of its Axis V2 backpacks, replacing them with the 16L RoadWarrior, 18L LT, and 20L LT.

“The New 16L RoadWarrior backpack boasts pockets for everything, a 16-inch laptop, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, documents, plus battery, cable, and adapters. A really cool feature is the included BYOB Insert, the BYOB 9, which fits a compact camera with two to three lenses and, once removed, can easily be carried by its own shoulder strap,” Tenba explains.

The included BYOB Insert is a separate padded pouch with removable dividers and pockets that fits inside the RoadWarrior to protect and organize a photographer’s camera and lenses.

The RoadWarrior also includes a trolley strap and is well-suited to air travel. Tenba says that its new backpack meets carry-on luggage standards and can also fit under most airplane seats.

“The RoadWarrior backpack is the perfect solution for anyone who needs the versatility of a briefcase/daypack complete with camera bag functionality,” promises Tenba.

The 16L RoadWarrior comes in black ($200) and camouflage ($210) colorways.

The 18L LT and 20L LT are lightweight backpacks that include dual-side access. Both bags fit mirrorless or DSLR cameras with multiple lenses, including attached lenses up to a 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom.

The smaller 18L LT can fit a 14-inch laptop, while the larger 20L LT holds a 16-inch notebook. Both bags have a tripod/gimbal storage pocket, trolley strap, and a convertible top pocket that can swap between gear storage and holding personal items such as clothing or food.

The RoadWarrior and LT backpacks also include what Tenba calls an “Airflow Harness.” Sporting Tenba’s Pivot-Fit auto-adjusting straps, Tenba promises that its ventilating harness and straps will keep the wearer cool during extended wear.

All of Tenba’s new Axis V2 bags also include MOLLE webbing. Tenba says that its MOLLE webbing is highly reflective, helping to ensure the wearer’s safety when walking or riding a bike near cars at night.

The black Tenba 20L LT is $230, while the “multicam” variant is $240.
